Year of the Iron Butterfly? When I was given this web space as part of my ADSL package, I called it
'Butterfly Brain'. The idea was that since my pd49 site had pretty much become fixed in its format and
style, apqw69 would allow me free reign. Well, surprise, it never really happened.
I found out about Gn15 and learned... well, I'm not sure. Someone said once that 'it is better to travel in
expectation than to arrive'. Well, I've done a lot of that, so you might want to read about
I've been using the site as an unlinked repository for my Gn15 railway modelling stuff since I joined the gn15.info forum,
so I've decided to give up the unequal struggle and devote this site to the modelling I've done. Even
within Gn15, (and now 'gnine') though, I'm still a butterfly brain, as you'll discover if you read about my
What's Gn15? Essentially, G 'scale' model trains running on 16.5mm gauge track to represent 'minimum gauges' of somewhere around 15?. For someone like me, starting out in Gn15 can be a little daunting. There are some kits available
and of course you can use both 16.5mm gauge mechanisms and half-inch scale doll's house accessories,
but the idea of a shake-the-box layout is years away. Here are some resources you may find useful.
